Terms of Use

1. Operator and contact

JEVNU is operated by Lennox Ferguson, an individual based in Switzerland. Questions about these Terms can be sent to support@jevnu.com.

2. Acceptance and the contractual documents

These Terms govern your JEVNU membership and use of the service. You must explicitly accept the current Terms and Community Guidelines when asked. The Privacy Notice explains how personal data is handled; acknowledging that notice is not blanket consent to every processing activity. JEVNU records the version and time of each acceptance and preserves earlier acceptance evidence when a new version becomes current.

3. Eligibility: members must be 18 or older

You must be at least 18 years old to create or maintain a JEVNU membership. By making the age confirmation, you state that you are 18 years of age or older. JEVNU currently relies on self-attestation and does not collect a date of birth or government identity document for this purpose.

4. What JEVNU is — and is not

JEVNU is a members-only professional discovery platform currently focused on musicians. It provides professional profiles, Music IDs, member search, governed location features, saved musicians, professional contact information, performance evidence, and structured, governed member interactions.

JEVNU is not an employer, agent, recruiter, booking service, payment processor, guarantor, social network, or background-check service. It does not represent a member, negotiate on a member's behalf, or certify that a member is suitable for an opportunity.

5. Membership and fees

Core membership is currently free. This is not a promise that every current or future feature will remain free forever. JEVNU will disclose any future charge and the terms that apply before a member incurs it; no charge is created by these Terms alone.

6. Account and profile responsibilities

You must provide accurate information, keep your professional profile reasonably current, use only an account you are authorised to control, protect your credentials, and promptly report suspected unauthorised access. You must have the rights and permissions needed for every name, image, recording, link, statement, and other item you submit. Do not share passwords or verification tokens with support or other members.

7. Music IDs

A Music ID is a persistent JEVNU identifier for a musician profile. It is not a government identity document, professional licence, certification, endorsement, background check, or guarantee of identity, skill, conduct, availability, or suitability. A Music ID may move through governed states, including pending, active, suspended, revoked, or closed. A closed Music ID is not recycled or reassigned.

8. Verification signals and evidence

Social-link confirmations, performance evidence, availability indicators, profile activity, and other verification signals communicate only the factual status JEVNU displays. They are not a guarantee of identity, ownership beyond the checked signal, professional quality, conduct, safety, availability, or future performance. Members must make their own checks.

9. Discovery, introductions, and opportunities

Search, ranking, filters, location, saving, and contact-request tools support professional discovery; they are not endorsements or employment recommendations. JEVNU does not guarantee jobs, gigs, bookings, income, responses, introductions, or any other opportunity. Members are responsible for assessing people, opportunities, safety, and professional fit.

10. Member agreements and payments

Any engagement, booking, employment, service, fee, expense, tax, insurance, cancellation, or other agreement between members is solely between those members. JEVNU is not a party to those arrangements and does not receive, hold, route, or guarantee member payments.

11. Prohibited conduct

You may not impersonate another person; misrepresent material professional information; harass, threaten, discriminate against, exploit, or endanger others; spam, scam, defraud, or solicit deceptively; publish unlawful, privacy-invasive, or infringing material; misuse contact requests or another member's contact details; evade blocks or moderation; create unauthorised duplicate identities; scrape, harvest, or automate access without permission; probe for private data; disrupt or attack the service; introduce malicious code; or use JEVNU for any deceptive, unsafe, abusive, or unlawful purpose.

12. Blocking, reporting, safety, and moderation

JEVNU may receive reports, investigate, preserve relevant evidence, restrict visibility, block interactions, remove content, suspend or revoke access, and take other proportionate action to protect members, the service, or legal rights. A report is a review signal, not an automatic finding. Moderation is governed by human review and available evidence; JEVNU does not promise that every issue will be detected, prevented, or resolved immediately.

13. Deactivation, suspension, revocation, and closure

Deactivation pauses a membership and is normally reversible. Suspension and revocation are governed restrictions. Closure is terminal for the associated Music ID and does not allow a member to bypass an open safety, fraud, privacy, or legal review. Closed Music IDs are not recycled. Records are handled under the Privacy Notice, applicable law, backup cycles, and legitimate security, audit, dispute, and retention needs.

14. Your content and the licence to operate JEVNU

You retain ownership of content you submit. You give JEVNU a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, technically reproduce, format, display, transmit, and make that content available within JEVNU only as needed to operate, secure, maintain, and provide the service. JEVNU may allow its processors to perform those acts only as necessary to provide their services to JEVNU.

This licence does not permit JEVNU to sell your content, use it for advertising, create unrelated derivative works, train artificial-intelligence models on it, or exploit it outside JEVNU without your separate permission. The licence generally ends when the content is deleted, subject to reasonable backup cycles and copies JEVNU must retain for legal, security, fraud-prevention, audit, dispute, or documented retention purposes.

15. JEVNU intellectual property

JEVNU's software, design, branding, and service materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. Except where applicable law permits it, you may not copy, reverse engineer, misuse JEVNU branding, or commercially exploit those materials without written permission. This section does not transfer ownership of member content to JEVNU.

16. Third-party services and links

JEVNU uses service providers and may display links selected by members. Third-party services and websites have their own terms and privacy practices. JEVNU does not control member links, third-party content, or off-platform transactions. This does not disclaim responsibility for JEVNU's own acts, obligations, provider choices, or processing where applicable law makes JEVNU responsible.

17. Privacy

The Privacy Notice explains the personal data JEVNU processes, its purposes, providers, international transfers, retention, security, and member choices and rights.

18. Service availability and feature changes

JEVNU may maintain, secure, improve, add, change, suspend, or discontinue features. The service may sometimes be unavailable or contain errors, and uninterrupted availability is not guaranteed. Material changes that affect contractual rights, privacy, or future charges will be handled transparently and with any notice or acceptance required by applicable law. This section does not remove statutory rights or permit retroactive changes to obligations already incurred.

19. Appropriate service limitations

JEVNU provides discovery tools and governed signals, not a promise that member statements, linked content, opportunities, or third-party systems will always be accurate, safe, available, or suitable. You remain responsible for decisions made from that information. Nothing in these Terms excludes a statutory warranty, remedy, or other mandatory right that cannot lawfully be waived.

20. Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, each party remains responsible under applicable rules for loss caused by its breach, fault, or unlawful conduct. JEVNU is not responsible for a member's off-platform agreement or conduct, or for a third-party system outside JEVNU's reasonable control, except where applicable law provides otherwise.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so is prohibited by applicable law, including liability that cannot validly be excluded in advance for unlawful intent or gross negligence. These Terms do not exclude mandatory statutory rights or remedies.

21. Changes to these Terms

JEVNU identifies each governed version and its effective date. Material contractual changes will receive reasonable advance or in-product notice where appropriate and may require a new explicit acceptance. JEVNU preserves historical version and acceptance evidence. Continued use is not treated as a substitute where an explicit checkbox acceptance is required. A new version does not retroactively rewrite an earlier version or create unlimited power to change obligations already incurred.

22. Governing law and competent courts

These Terms and the relationship they govern are subject to the substantive laws of Switzerland, without prejudice to mandatory law that applies to you. Disputes may be brought before courts competent under applicable law. Nothing in these Terms requires a person to waive a mandatory place of jurisdiction, including any mandatory forum available to a consumer.

23. Severability and no waiver

If a provision is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. A delay in exercising a right does not by itself waive that right. Nothing in this section replaces a mandatory legal rule.
